WhatsApp vs WhatsApp Business API (WABA): Which to Choose
Two ways to do WhatsApp with Liqaa
Liqaa supports two WhatsApp options. Pick based on volume and whether you need the official verified badge.
Option A — WhatsApp via Nidaa gateway
Connect an existing WhatsApp business number through Nidaa, Liqaa's gateway.
- Best for: small teams, getting started quickly, lower volume.
- Pros: fast to connect, uses your current number, no Meta approval.
- Cons: no official green badge; sending limits follow normal WhatsApp usage; not intended for large marketing blasts.
Option B — WhatsApp Business API (WABA)
The official API from Meta, connected through Liqaa.
- Best for: higher volume, multiple agents, verified brand presence.
- Pros: green verified badge, message templates, broadcasts, higher throughput, better reliability.
- Cons: requires a Meta Business account and number approval; template messages must be pre-approved.

How to connect
- Open Dashboard → Channels → WhatsApp.
- Choose Nidaa gateway (scan the QR with your phone) or Business API.
- For WABA: paste your Phone Number ID (a common mistake is pasting the WABA ID — use the Phone Number ID) and access token.
- Send a test message to confirm two-way delivery.
Tip
You can start on the Nidaa gateway and upgrade to WABA later without changing how the assistant or your knowledge base works — only the channel connection changes.
