Configuring Work Centers

Configuring Work Centers

A work center is a machine, workstation, or team that performs a production step.

Adding a Work Center

  1. Go to Karya → Work Centers → + New
  2. Name it (e.g. "Mesin Potong", "Lini Perakitan", "Finishing")
  3. Set capacity (units or hours per day)
  4. Set the cost per hour (operator + machine + overhead)

Using Work Centers in Routings

In a BOM's operations, assign each step to a work center and set the expected time. This lets Karya:

  • Estimate total production time
  • Calculate labor and machine cost per unit
  • Detect capacity bottlenecks

Capacity Planning

The work center view shows planned load vs available capacity per day, so you can reschedule work orders before a station is overbooked.

Downtime & Maintenance

Mark a work center as under maintenance to remove its capacity from planning during repairs.

Tip

Start simple — model only your bottleneck stations first. You can add detail later as you refine production planning.
