AI Persona Configuration

What is an AI Persona?

The AI persona defines how your chatbot talks, what it knows, and how it presents itself. A well-configured persona creates a natural, branded experience for visitors.

Choosing an Agent

Liqaa offers pre-built agent personas:

  • Aini Friendly, warm, uses casual Indonesian/English
  • Custom Define your own name, style, and behavior

To select: Go to Messenger > Settings > AI > Persona

Custom Instructions

Write specific instructions that shape how the AI responds:

Example instructions:

You are a customer support agent for [Company Name].
- Always greet visitors warmly
- Answer questions based on the knowledge base only
- If you don't know the answer, say "Let me connect you with our team"
- Never make up pricing information
- Keep responses concise (2-3 paragraphs max)
- Use a professional but friendly tone

Testing in Playground

Before going live, test your persona:

  1. Go to Messenger > Playground
  2. Start a conversation as if you were a visitor
  3. Ask different types of questions:

- Product information

- Pricing details

- Technical issues

- Off-topic queries

  1. Refine your instructions based on the responses

Conversation Starters

Set up suggested prompts that appear when the widget opens:

  1. Go to AI Settings > Conversation Starters
  2. Add clear, action-oriented prompts:

- "Tell me about your pricing"

- "I need technical support"

- "How does [feature] work?"

  1. Each starter is a clickable button in the widget

Advanced Settings

  • Response Length Short (1-2 sentences) or Detailed (full paragraphs)
  • Language Auto-detect or force a specific language
  • Handover Trigger Keywords or phrases that trigger human handover
  • Confidence Threshold Minimum confidence before the AI defers to a human

Tips for Better AI Conversations

  • Update your knowledge base regularly
  • Review conversation logs weekly to find gaps
  • Add FAQ-style articles for common questions
  • Test edge cases — what happens when visitors ask something unexpected?
