Work Orders & Routes
Creating a Work Order
- Go to Ider > Work Orders
- Click + New Work Order
- Fill in the details:
- Customer — Select from contacts or enter new
- Location — Customer address with map pin
- Service Type — Select the type of service
- Priority — Low, medium, high, emergency
- Preferred Date/Time — Customer's preferred schedule
- Description — Details about the issue or service needed
- Attach photos or documents (optional)
- Click Create
Work Order Lifecycle
- New — Just created, not yet assigned
- Assigned — Technician selected and notified
- En Route — Technician is traveling to the location
- In Progress — Work has started on site
- Completed — Job is done, awaiting customer sign-off
- Closed — Customer confirmed, invoice generated
Assigning Technicians
- Open the work order
- Click Assign
- The system suggests available technicians based on:
- Skills matching the service type
- Proximity to the customer location
- Current workload and availability
- Select a technician and set the scheduled time
- The technician receives a push notification
Route Optimization
When a technician has multiple jobs in a day:
- Go to Ider > Dispatch Board
- View all scheduled work orders on the map
- Click Optimize Routes for a technician
- The system calculates the most efficient route considering:
- Travel distance and traffic
- Appointment time windows
- Service duration estimates
- The optimized route is sent to the technician's mobile app
Completion & Sign-Off
When the technician finishes:
- They mark the work order as Completed in the mobile app
- Upload before/after photos
- Fill in the completion checklist
- Customer signs on the technician's device
- A completion report is generated automatically
Reports
- Work Order Status — Open, in progress, and completed orders
- Technician Performance — Jobs completed, average time, customer ratings
- First-Time Fix Rate — Percentage of jobs completed in one visit
- SLA Compliance — Response time and resolution time vs targets
- Revenue by Service Type — Income breakdown by service category
