Creating Your First Dashboard
Kinexa Wawas is the business intelligence module that lets you build dashboards, visualize data, and generate reports with AI-powered insights.
Step 1: Activate the Module
Login to the Kinexa dashboard and activate the Wawas module from settings.
Step 2: Connect Data Sources
Wawas can pull data from other Kinexa modules and external sources:
- Go to Wawas > Data Sources
- Click + New Data Source
- Choose the source type:
- Kinexa Modules — Atlas (finance), Mitra (CRM), Point (POS), etc.
- Database — PostgreSQL, MySQL (read-only connection)
- File Upload — CSV, Excel
- API — REST API endpoint
- Configure the connection and test it
- Click Save
Step 3: Create a Dataset
A dataset is a query or view on your data source:
- Go to Wawas > Datasets
- Click + New Dataset
- Select the data source
- Write a query or select tables/fields visually
- Preview the data
- Click Save
Step 4: Build a Dashboard
- Go to Wawas > Dashboards
- Click + New Dashboard
- Give it a name (e.g., "Sales Overview Q2 2026")
- Click + Add Widget and choose a chart type:
- Bar Chart — Compare categories
- Line Chart — Track trends over time
- Pie Chart — Show proportions
- KPI Card — Display a single metric
- Table — Show detailed data rows
- Map — Visualize geographic data
- Select the dataset and configure axes/metrics
- Customize colors, labels, and filters
- Drag and resize widgets to arrange the layout
- Click Save
Step 5: Share the Dashboard
- Internal — Share with team members by role
- Link — Generate a shareable URL (view-only)
- Embed — Get an iframe code for external pages
- Schedule — Auto-send dashboard snapshots via email
