Creating Your First Course
Kinexa Bina is the learning management system (LMS) for companies that want to deliver training courses, onboarding programs, or e-learning content to employees, partners, or customers.
Step 1: Activate the Module
Login to the Kinexa dashboard and activate the Bina module from settings.
Step 2: Add Instructors
- Go to Bina > Instructors
- Click + New Instructor
- Fill in: name, bio, expertise, photo
- Link to an existing team member account (optional)
- Click Save
Step 3: Create Course Categories
Organize your courses into categories:
- Go to Bina > Categories
- Click + New Category
- Enter: category name (e.g., Onboarding, Technical Skills, Compliance, Product Training)
- Add a description and icon
- Click Save
Step 4: Create a Course
- Go to Bina > Courses
- Click + New Course
- Fill in the course details:
- Title — e.g., "New Employee Onboarding"
- Category — Select from your categories
- Instructor — Assign one or more instructors
- Description — Course overview and learning objectives
- Thumbnail — Upload a cover image
- Duration — Estimated total hours
- Level — Beginner, intermediate, or advanced
- Click Save (course is created as draft)
Step 5: Add Chapters and Lessons
Structure your course content:
- Open the course
- Click + Add Chapter (e.g., "Week 1: Company Introduction")
- Within each chapter, click + Add Lesson
- Choose the lesson type:
- Video — Upload or link a video
- Text — Rich text content with images
- Quiz — Multiple choice, true/false, or short answer
- File — Downloadable resource (PDF, slides, etc.)
- Assignment — Task for students to complete and submit
- Set each lesson as required or optional
- Arrange the order with drag and drop
Step 6: Publish
When your course is ready:
- Click Publish to make it available to students
- Set access: open enrollment, invite-only, or by department
