Creating Your First Course

Kinexa Bina is the learning management system (LMS) for companies that want to deliver training courses, onboarding programs, or e-learning content to employees, partners, or customers.

Step 1: Activate the Module

Login to the Kinexa dashboard and activate the Bina module from settings.

Step 2: Add Instructors

  1. Go to Bina > Instructors
  2. Click + New Instructor
  3. Fill in: name, bio, expertise, photo
  4. Link to an existing team member account (optional)
  5. Click Save

Step 3: Create Course Categories

Organize your courses into categories:

  1. Go to Bina > Categories
  2. Click + New Category
  3. Enter: category name (e.g., Onboarding, Technical Skills, Compliance, Product Training)
  4. Add a description and icon
  5. Click Save

Step 4: Create a Course

  1. Go to Bina > Courses
  2. Click + New Course
  3. Fill in the course details:

- Title — e.g., "New Employee Onboarding"

- Category — Select from your categories

- Instructor — Assign one or more instructors

- Description — Course overview and learning objectives

- Thumbnail — Upload a cover image

- Duration — Estimated total hours

- Level — Beginner, intermediate, or advanced

  1. Click Save (course is created as draft)

Step 5: Add Chapters and Lessons

Structure your course content:

  1. Open the course
  2. Click + Add Chapter (e.g., "Week 1: Company Introduction")
  3. Within each chapter, click + Add Lesson
  4. Choose the lesson type:

- Video — Upload or link a video

- Text — Rich text content with images

- Quiz — Multiple choice, true/false, or short answer

- File — Downloadable resource (PDF, slides, etc.)

- Assignment — Task for students to complete and submit

  1. Set each lesson as required or optional
  2. Arrange the order with drag and drop

Step 6: Publish

When your course is ready:

  1. Click Publish to make it available to students
  2. Set access: open enrollment, invite-only, or by department
