Push Notifications in Kinexa Mobile App
Push Notifications in Kinexa Mobile App
The Kinexa App for iOS and Android delivers push notifications directly to your phone so you never miss important business events.
What Notifications Can You Receive?
Push notifications are sent for key events across all Kinexa modules:
- Purchase Orders — New PO created, PO approved, PO received
- Invoices — Invoice sent, payment received, invoice overdue
- CRM Deals — Deal stage changed, deal won/lost, follow-up reminder
- Approvals — New approval pending, approval granted/rejected
- Announcements — Company-wide announcements from administrators
- Tasks — Task assigned to you, task due today, task overdue
- Calendar — Upcoming meeting in 15 minutes, schedule changes
How to Enable Push Notifications
- Download the Kinexa App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android)
- Sign in with your Kinexa account
- When prompted, allow notifications — this is required for push delivery
- Go to Settings > Notifications in the app to customize which types you receive
Deep Linking
Each push notification includes a deep link that takes you directly to the relevant screen in the app. For example:
- Tapping an "Invoice Overdue" notification opens the invoice detail page
- Tapping an "Approval Pending" notification opens the approval review screen
- Tapping a "Deal Stage Changed" notification opens the deal in Mitra CRM
This saves time by eliminating manual navigation.
Managing Notification Preferences
In the Kinexa App, go to Settings > Notifications to control:
- Module-level toggles — Turn notifications on/off per module (e.g., receive Atlas Finance alerts but not CRM)
- Priority filter — Only receive High and Critical priority notifications
- Quiet hours — Set hours during which notifications are silenced (e.g., 10 PM – 7 AM)
- Sound & vibration — Customize the notification sound
For Administrators: Firebase Configuration
Push notifications are powered by Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). To enable push notifications for your organization:
- Create a Firebase project at console.firebase.google.com
- Download the service account JSON key file
- In Kinexa Master > Settings > Integrations > Push Notifications, upload the Firebase key
- Set the
FIREBASE_PROJECT_IDandFIREBASE_SERVICE_ACCOUNTenvironment variables
Once configured, all users in your organization who install the Kinexa App will automatically receive push notifications.
Troubleshooting
- Not receiving notifications? Check that notifications are enabled in both the app settings and your phone's system settings
- Delayed notifications? Push delivery depends on your network connection and device battery optimization settings — disable battery optimization for the Kinexa App
- Notifications stopped suddenly? The FCM token may have expired — sign out and sign back in to refresh it
